Purrple Orryx planned and produced the MENALAC Awards 2024, the yearly gala of the Middle East and North Africa Leisure and Attractions Council, at Sky View Dubai for 400 to 500 guests. We handled design, staging, show run, sponsors and guest management, including a seating change one hour before doors.

The brief
MENALAC runs a yearly awards night to honour its council members and recognise excellence across the region's leisure and attractions industry. They needed one partner to own the theme, content, sponsor deliverables, MC, entertainment and the show run on the night.
The challenges
Heavy content load
Award categories, sponsor branding and on-screen content needed continuous revisions right up to show day.
Seating changed one hour before doors
The guest seating plan was altered roughly an hour before the event started.
Sponsor deliverables on a fixed build schedule
Every sponsor had to deliver branding and materials in line with the setup timeline.

Council, sponsors, venue and vendors all needed the same information in real time.

We ran seating on a real-time system, which let us adjust layouts within the hour we had.

Regular check-ins and a single live update channel kept council, sponsors and vendors aligned.
Show run from backstage
We briefed and rehearsed the MC, sequenced music for every award, staged trophies and giveaways, and ran presenters from backstage.
