Corporate UAE National Day Celebrations in Dubai

We plan and run National Day and Eid Al Etihad celebrations for companies in Dubai and across the UAE: office and staff celebrations, heritage villages, majlis and hospitality, decor and client evenings, handled by one team from concept to the last guest.

In short

Purrple Orryx plans corporate UAE National Day celebrations in Dubai and across the UAE: office and staff celebrations, heritage villages, majlis and hospitality, decor and client evenings, run end to end by one team. For a 45th National Day we set up a heritage village with more than ten themed zones outside a free zone headquarters. Brief us five to six weeks before 2 December.

01

A National Day Celebration, Planned as a Corporate Event

UAE National Day, celebrated on 2 December and known since 2023 as Eid Al Etihad, is the day most companies in the UAE mark together. For a business it is more than decor: it is a moment to thank staff, honour the country you work in and welcome clients and partners, usually in the last working days of November or on the day itself.

Purrple Orryx has organised corporate events in Dubai since 2013, for businesses only. For National Day we design the concept, source the venue or use your own premises, set up the themed areas and decor, book traditional performers and hospitality, manage guests and branding, and run the day. You brief one project manager. See how we work.

We plan National Day for companies and their people: staff, clients and partners. We do not run public festivals or mall activations for National Day. Other cultural occasions, from Ramadan to Christmas, are on our cultural events page.

National Day Formats Companies Book With Us

01

Office and staff celebration

A celebration in your office, warehouse or plant for the whole team: an Emirati welcome with dates and Arabic coffee, a heritage corner, traditional music, a short address from leadership and lunch. Planned around your working day so people can take part without losing the afternoon.

02

Heritage village or walk-through

A route through the story of the UAE, set up on your forecourt, car park or a venue lawn: a fort facade, old souq stalls, a dhow and pearling scene, a Bedouin tent and a majlis, with information boards at each stop. It suits headquarters, free zones and campuses with large teams and visitors.

03

Client and partner evening

A hosted evening or lunch for customers, distributors or government partners, in a hotel, a desert camp or your own venue. Majlis seating, Emirati food, live oud or Al Ayala performers, branded gifts and a short programme that marks the occasion without turning into a long night.

04

Office and lobby decor

Flag colours across your reception, lobby and floors: entrance arches, ceiling and wall decor, photo walls, a national day backdrop and branded touches, installed out of hours and removed after the holiday.

05

Family-day format

National Day with families invited: a kids' area in UAE colours, face painting, crafts, heritage games and food stations alongside the staff programme. Our family day page covers how we run these days.

06

Majlis and Emirati hospitality

A traditional majlis with low seating and carpets, Arabic coffee served by a qahwaji, dates, luqaimat and Emirati dishes, and optional experiences such as a falconry display, henna or calligraphy.

03

What We Handle for Your National Day Event

  • Concept and theme, with 3D visuals of the set-up before anything is ordered
  • Venue sourcing, or planning on your own premises with building and access approvals
  • Heritage sets and facades: fort, souq stalls, arish rooms, dhow scenes and Bedouin tents
  • Decor in the national colours, entrance arches, photo walls and branded signage
  • Traditional performers, music, falconry, henna and other Emirati experiences
  • Food and Arabic coffee service with your venue or caterer
  • Stage, sound and lighting for speeches and performances
  • Guest management, gifts, photography and video
  • Set-up out of working hours, show running on the day and clearance after the holiday

Every element is part of one event that we plan and deliver. We do not rent out tents, decor or performers on their own.

A 45th National Day heritage village at a free zone headquarters

For the UAE's 45th National Day we turned the forecourt of a Dubai free zone headquarters into a heritage village: a red-carpet street of palm frond souq stalls with figures showing old trades, a fort replica with cannons, a dhow and pearling scene, a Bedouin tent, majlis rooms, a garden lounge, a kids' zone, a vintage car display and a falconry corner. When Should a Company Start Planning for National Day?

Five to six weeks before 2 December is the sensible minimum for most corporate celebrations, and two to three months for a heritage village, a large client evening or anything that needs approvals. Most companies brief their event company in November, so performers, heritage props, majlis sets and the best venues are booked quickly in the last three weeks of the month.

Decide the date early. Many companies celebrate on the last working day before the holiday, so that day fills first. If your teams work across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, or in shifts, we can run the same programme twice or in two locations.

Shorter lead times can work for a smaller office celebration. Send us your date, location and number of guests and we will tell you honestly what fits.

07

Getting the Details Right

A National Day celebration is about the country, so the details carry weight. We follow the UAE's guidance on displaying the flag and national symbols: flags hung the right way up and in good condition, never on the floor or printed with other messages. Images of the country's leaders are used only where they are appropriate and correctly sourced.

We keep the programme respectful of Emirati culture and suitable for a mixed, international workforce: traditional dress is welcome but never required, music and performers are chosen for the setting, and food covers Emirati dishes alongside options for every diet.

08

What Drives the Cost of a National Day Event

We do not publish package prices, because an office celebration for 60 staff and a heritage village for a whole campus are different jobs. The main factors are the number of guests, the venue or site, how many themed zones and sets you want, the performers and experiences, food and hospitality, and how long set-up and clearance take.

Send us your date, location, guest numbers and the kind of celebration you have in mind, and we will come back with a costed proposal.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do companies in Dubai celebrate UAE National Day?

Most companies hold an office or staff celebration on the last working day before 2 December: an Emirati welcome with Arabic coffee and dates, decor in the national colours, a heritage corner, traditional music and a meal. Larger organisations set up a heritage village or host a client and partner evening. Purrple Orryx plans all of these as corporate events in Dubai and across the UAE.

How far in advance should we book a National Day event company?

Five to six weeks before 2 December for most office celebrations, and two to three months for a heritage village, a large client evening or anything needing approvals. Most briefs arrive in November, so performers, heritage sets and venues fill quickly in the last three weeks before the holiday.

Can you set up a National Day celebration in our own office or premises?

Yes. Most of our National Day work happens on the client's own premises: offices, lobbies, forecourts, warehouses and campuses. We plan the set-up out of working hours, agree access and safety with your building management and clear everything after the holiday.

What is included in a heritage village for National Day?

A heritage village usually brings together a fort facade, old souq stalls showing traditional trades, a dhow and pearling scene, a Bedouin tent and a majlis, with boards explaining each stop. Hospitality, performers, a kids' area and displays such as vintage cars or falconry can be added. For a 45th National Day we set up more than ten zones outside a Dubai headquarters.

Do you organise public National Day festivals or mall activations?

No. We plan National Day celebrations for companies and their people: staff, families, clients and partners. We do not run public festivals or mall activations, and we do not rent out tents, decor or performers on their own.

Do you plan National Day events outside Dubai?

Yes. We plan corporate National Day celebrations across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, and can run the same programme in more than one location for companies with several sites.

Is it Eid Al Etihad or UAE National Day?

Both refer to the same day, 2 December, when the UAE marks the union of 1971. Since 2023 the official celebrations have used the name Eid Al Etihad, while most companies still call it National Day. 2026 marks the 55th National Day.
