Purrple Orryx ran an outdoor team building day for 100 to 150 Peikko Gulf employees at Hilton Ras Al Khaimah in November: icebreakers, relay races, obstacle courses and strategy games with facilitator debriefs. Heavy rain hit after the outdoor setup was finished; we repaired it and started on time.

The brief

Peikko wanted a day that improved communication and morale across its team through friendly competition. Peikko Gulf is a repeat client; we also produced its facility grand opening in Ras Al Khaimah.

The venue had to take space-hungry activities for the whole group.

Heavy rain fell after the outdoor setup was complete.

Indoor backup ready

An indoor fallback was agreed; the rain stopped and we fixed weather damage before the start.

Structured programme

Welcome and icebreaker, then relay races, obstacle courses and trust exercises, then afternoon strategy games with debriefs.

One run sheet

AV, chaperones, MC and the hotel's F&B team worked off a single timeline.

Wrap-up awards
