Purrple Orryx is a Dubai event production company that works only with businesses. Since 2013 we have produced conferences, gala dinners, award nights, launches and openings; our client list includes Talabat, LG, Hilti, Nespresso and Atlantis Dubai. Production is how we deliver the events we manage: stage, set, screens, light, sound and the crew who run the show.
Because one team plans the agenda, the venue and the guest journey, the technical design follows the event. The stage is sized to the room, content is built to the running order, and one person owns every cue. See how we work.
We do not rent out equipment on its own. If you want audio-visual, lighting and staging designed and delivered as part of a complete event, that is exactly what we do.

We design the stage around the room, the audience and what happens on it: a keynote, a panel, an awards walk-up or a product reveal. That covers stage height, set pieces, branding surfaces and sightlines. You approve 3D visuals before anything is built.
Custom sets, backdrops, entrance features and branded structures are built for your event and installed to fit the venue's access window. Where it helps the budget, we combine modular staging with custom finishes. More on our event fabrication and set-up page.
LED walls, side screens and confidence monitors are specified for the room and the viewing distance. When a low ceiling gets in the way, we change the stage rather than shrink the screen. Projection mapping suits some reveals, and we recommend it only where the venue and budget make it work.
Lighting sets the mood, lifts presenters off the screen and changes the room between conference, dinner and awards. We plan stage wash, key light for speakers and cameras, and uplighting, then programme each state against the running order.
Speech clarity comes first: a sound system matched to the room, wireless microphones with spares and a mix position with a clear view of the stage. Truss and rigging are planned against the venue's rigging points and load limits, which the venue normally approves before the build.
Openers, walk-in loops, speaker holding slides, nominee reels and sponsor slides are designed to the exact size of your screens. We collect presentations in advance, check formats and keep duplicate media files ready, so a late slide change does not stop the show.
A show caller runs the event from a script listing every light, sound, video and presenter cue. We rehearse the MC and speakers, run a technical rehearsal in the room and staff each position. Effects such as confetti or cold sparks are added only where they suit the moment and the venue allows them.

We start with your objective, audience, date, guest count, venue if chosen, and budget range. What the event has to achieve shapes the production more than any equipment list.
We propose the look and the flow: stage concept, key visuals, how the room changes through the day and where the big moments sit. You review it before any technical detail is locked.
Once the concept is agreed, we draw the stage, screens, truss and seating to scale on the venue floor plan and produce 3D renders. This is where sightlines, ceiling height and power are checked on paper.
Our technical lead walks the venue to confirm ceiling height, rigging points, power, the load-in route, access times and supplier rules, then agrees the build plan and approvals with the venue's events and engineering teams.
Fabrication happens off site. On site, the build follows a timed sequence: rigging, stage, screens, lighting and sound, then branding and décor. Hotel ballrooms often allow access only overnight or on the event morning, and the plan is written around that.
We run every cue, video, microphone and walk-up in the room with the MC and, where possible, the speakers. Most problems are found and fixed here, not in front of guests.
The show caller runs the event from the script, with the crew on headsets. Once guests leave, we de-rig and clear the venue within its handover time.

The reveal is the moment the production is built around: timed content, lighting and sound cues, and backups for every screen. We plan product launches so the reveal still works when rehearsal time is short.
Opening a factory or warehouse means building a venue where there is none: a tent or cleared floor, power, flooring, climate control, a stage and VIP seating, often with government guests. Our grand opening work covers tented sites and working facilities.
Stands with LED walls, demo zones and meeting areas. Space-only stands at venues such as Dubai World Trade Centre need an approved contractor and venue approval of the design, which we manage in our exhibition stand builds.

At Al-Futtaim Logistics' GCC annual conference in February 2024, for 200 to 250 staff, the ceiling was too low for the planned stage and screen. After a technical site visit we lowered the stage so the full-size screen still fitted. Read the Al-Futtaim case study.
For Neelkanth Cables Manufacturing's 2024 factory opening, we built a grand tent on site for 400 to 500 guests, including Dubai Industrial City Authority officials, with an LED stage, VIP seating, factory tours and product demos. Read the Neelkanth Cables case study.
The launch of Franck Muller Vanguard by London Gate hosted 600 to 1,000 guests, with rehearsal possible only one hour before doors. One technical specialist owned the show run, with backup equipment and duplicate media for every screen. Read the London Gate case study.

We do not publish price lists, because two events with the same guest count can need very different production. The biggest factors are scale and venue: the size of the stage and LED wall, the number of screens, and how much rigging the room needs. A 200-seat hotel conference is a different job from a 500-guest opening in a tent on an open site.
Custom sets cost more than modular staging dressed with graphics. Overnight or same-day builds, extra rehearsal days and short lead times add crew hours. Content, live streaming, translation, special effects and any venue charges for power or rigging also belong in the quote.

Fix the venue, or a shortlist, early. Ceiling height, rigging points, power and load-in access decide which stage and screen will fit.
Allow time. For a conference, gala or launch with custom staging, six to eight weeks from brief to show leaves room for concept, 3D approval, content and venue sign-off. We can work faster: one facility opening in Ras Al Khaimah was planned in under three weeks.
Check the season. From roughly June to September the heat makes outdoor evening events hard work, so most outdoor productions run from October to April. Ramadan changes event timings and formats too.
Book the rehearsal. Hotels often release a ballroom late, so agree a technical rehearsal slot with the venue at the start.

At Purrple Orryx, production sits inside full event management, so the same team also handles concept, venue, guests and logistics.
Event management covers the whole event: objectives, venue, suppliers, guests, budget and logistics. Event production is the technical and creative delivery within it: what is built, lit, shown and heard, and how the show runs. Many companies hire the two separately; we do both with one team, so there is no hand-off between planner and production supplier.

For a conference, gala or launch with custom staging, six to eight weeks allows time for design approval, content and venue sign-off. Smaller set-ups can work on less, and we have delivered on shorter notice, but options narrow as the date gets closer.
It depends on the venue, the stage and screen size, how much is custom-built, build and rehearsal time, and extras such as content, streaming or effects. Because these vary so widely, we do not publish fixed prices. Share your date, venue, guest count and format, and we will send a costed proposal.
Yes. For Neelkanth Cables we built a grand tent with an LED stage at the factory in Dubai Industrial City, and for Peikko Gulf we turned a warehouse in Ras Al Khaimah into a formal venue, using lighting to define the stage and VIP zones. Such sites need extra planning for power, flooring and climate.
Yes. We design openers, walk-in loops, holding slides, nominee reels and sponsor slides to the exact size of your screens, and check speakers' presentations before the event. Duplicate media and backup playback are kept ready, so a late change or a failed laptop does not stop the show.
Yes. We produce events across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. We also work in Saudi Arabia as a Dubai-based partner for companies running events there; in Riyadh in 2025 that included a World Defense Show booth, a 500-guest gala dinner and a conference.
